There are 36 beds here at the detention center, but population varies from day to day. There are three "pods" (units) here at Highlands. One for females (B pod), and 2 for males (A pod & C pod). Most kids are here because of violating court orders or probation rules, but some have more serious charges. I am here for committing grand larceny: a felony. Nothing that I'm proud of! |
